To become a responsible netizen, you should always think before you click. You can hurt someone's feelings by merely clicking the post button in any social media platform like facebook, twitter and instagram when you are not careful on what you are trying to post. Observe proper netiquette. Always be mindful of privacy if you don’t want to ruin or hurt someone else’s life. It is very rude to post and download the privacy of the others. Do not take part in some thread or posts that are trolling or cyberbullying. Just because you are behind the cloak of anonymity, it doesn’t mean that you have the power to bully and criticize everyone. Even if you are having a conversation or debate with someone on the internet, you should always be respectful because they have an emotion and they are also human like you.
WHAT TIPS CAN YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO IS SUFFERING FROM COMPUTER AND INTERNET ADDICTION?
I am aware of the benefits of the internet and computer in
this modern world, but it is not considered helpful if you became addict to it.
The world is so vast and there you are just facing the screen of your laptop,
computer and cellphones for a long time. You should explore your surroundings and environment.
Having online friends is a great thing but nothing beats your real-life friend. Cybersex addiction and net compulsions is not a great thing. You should be aware in your screen time and always remember that use it for important task or activity. There are still many ways in consuming your free time; read a book, exercise and socialize with your friends. Keep in mind that it's not a good thing to not have a social life.
HOW CAN YOU SHOW RESPECT TO OTHER PEOPLE'S INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS?
You should always respect copyrights, logos and trademarks of the company or person. Downloading images, documents, and products without the authorization or consent of the owner is illegal. Always be mindful on what you are using or downloading. Their inventions, products and artistic works should not be for free because they are the ones who create and invent that product thus they have the authority to use it.
